Here’s a simple yet intriguing challenge. The answer would be the Spring 2018 issue of “Inspiring Lives” magazine.

After ten years as a tenured professor at Robert Morris University, videos posted on Facebook, plus her own television and radio programs, Dr. Shellie Hipsky, best-selling author of twelve books, decided to give birth to a new magazine—a publication that would encourage and empower women to improve themselves.

In 2016, Hipsky teamed up with Kelly Frost from South Park, and Inspiring Lives Magazine was born. Hipsky is now the Editor-in-Chief and Frost is the Vice President of Operations, ably supported by 13 talented staff members. Their current issue is also supplemented by 22 contributing writers, and 34 contributing photographers.

In addition to Frost, several of the publication’s staff are from the south hills area, including Rachel Dayoub (East Coast Advertising Executive) from Whitehall; Kim Adley (Travel Editor) from Whitehall, and Cori Wamsley (Executive Editor) from Washington, PA.

The quarterly magazine quickly gained loyal readers via delivery to over 125 health-related offices, retail stores, and shops throughout Allegheny and Washington Counties. Subscription requests soon flooded in from not only our local area, but the rest of Pennsylvania, other states, and Canada.

After only seven issues, well known publisher, Hearst Magazines – publishers of Elle, Redbook, and Cosmopolitan, among others, took notice of Inspiring Lives and agreed to make distribution to 630 Barnes and Noble bookstores throughout the nation. Circulation has since skyrocketed to 50K copies per quarter.

Each issue is filled with diverse and fascinating articles. Content of the newest issue is organized into the following subject areas: Living, Business, Culture, Food & Travel, Health & Wellness, Special Section: Bridal, and Fashion & Beauty. Stunning photography is displayed throughout the 100+ pages in full color on top-quality glossy paper. The high standards of the magazine have attracted Tiffany & Co. as a major national advertiser.

Dr. Hipsky has shared the front cover with such celebrities as Jackie Evancho (Pittsburgh native who sang at

Furthermore, the magazine staff is active in numerous charitable organizations around the globe.
