The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that it has received a $500,000 grant from the Richard King Mellon Foundation to complete the rehabilitation of the first floor and central staircase of the historic Brownlee House in Eighty Four, home of the WCCF.

The Knights of Columbus Council 3026 is asking for assistance in a shoe collection for third world countries.

Gently used shoes of all kinds, as well as new shoes, are being collected and will be sent to third world countries, where they will educate interested parties in the care, repair and sales of shoes. Please drop off shoes, sneakers, work shoes, sandals at any of the following churches: Holy Family—West Newton; St Anne—Rostraver; St Sebastian—Belle Vernon; or Seven Dolors—Yukon. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
