Giving the best possible care to patients and the community is at the heart of Ambulance and Chair EMS.  One way of carrying out this mission is by replacing the cardiac monitors for the ambulances.  Larry Pollock, executive director, said the current monitors are about 15 years old, but the new ones "are cutting-edge, they have much more capability and efficiency for the crews.  These are pretty advanced and allow us to do various things."

Community College of Allegheny County Southeast Region President Charlene Newkirk is a 2021 Women of Influence award winner. The Pittsburgh Business Times has honored a total of 26 women as part of the 2021 Women of Influence awards. More than 300 people gathered at the Westin Convention Center Hotel on Oct. 6 to celebrate the winners. The Times describes them as “inspiring women who have started and grown businesses, mentored future generations and made the community a better place.”

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce recently announced Jana Phillis Grimm, Partner atVorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, as the 2021 Washington County ATHENA Leadership Award Recipient.  The 2021 ATHENA Award was presented during a reception on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe and was attended by more than 250 business and community leaders.  The 2021 Finalists also included:
