The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to name Spartan Health Surgicenter as its Member Spotlight Business for the month of May.

Spartan Health Surgicenter was founded and opened its doors to the Mon Valley communities in September 2005. Situated on the site of the former Mon Valley Catholic High School on Coyle Curtain Road in Carroll Township, it has provided state of the art outpatient surgical procedures to thousands of patients since inception.

Patrick Garman has been serving as the Administrator of the surgery center since November 2007 and leads a team of dedicated, highly experienced nurses and operating room technicians with over 300 years of combined experience.

Patricia Monaghan has been Spartan’s Director of Nursing for the past eight and a half years and brings over 30 years of nursing experience to Spartan’s mission.

Dr. Vince Ripepi is the center’s medical director, replacing his late father, Dr. Philip Ripepi, one of the original founders of the Spartan complex and neighboring Mon Valley Care Center, a licensed skilled nursing bed and assisted living facility.

Spartan surgical services include ophthalmology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, general surgery, pain management, dental/oral surgery, podiatry, and ENT (ear, nose & throat) procedures.
