Spencer United Methodist Church will be holding a ‘Fall Rummage Sale’ on Friday, October 15 (9 am - 3 pm) and Saturday, October 16 (9 am – 12 pm).  Shop for great bargains on Fall/winter clothes, small appliances, kitchenware, bedding/linens, jewelry, pictures/frames, games/puzzles, toys, holiday decorations, etc.  Bring a friend or two.  You never know what treasure you may find.

The Bethel Park Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the 3^rd Annual Veterans Day ‘Take a Vet to Lunch’ program, on November 5, 2021 at the Bethel Park Community Center.  The event will start at 11:30AM, and food will be provided by Rowdy BBQ and Pasta TOO.    Guest speaker for this event will be Senator Devlin Robinson.   Veterans eat for FREE, and non-veterans will be $20.

The South Park Women’s Club (SPWC) will hold their annual Craft Show, on Saturday, October 9 from 10:00AM – 3:00PM at the Broughton Fire Hall, in South Park township. The club moved their venue from South Park County Park, to the firehall 2 years ago.  Unfortunately, last years’ show had to be cancelled at the firehall due to Covid. 

The City of Monessen has announced its annual activities for Halloween, throughout the month of October.  The Monessen Halloween parade will return this year in Downtown Monessen. The Parade will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 21, with the lineup beginning at 6:30pm.  The parade will be open to anyone wishing to participate. Vehicles and organizations are welcome. The lineup will begin on Wendell Ramey Lane and will travel through Downtown Monessen, and will stop at the Mon Valley EMS Building. The event is being coordinated by Castle Blood, a haunted attraction in Monessen.
