Members of Knights of Columbus West Jefferson Hills Council 11887 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 914 Intrepid of West Mifflin have worked together this holiday season to provide local homeless veterans with necessities needed to make their lives more comfortable.  The two organizations raised more than $2,000 to assemble and distribute duffel bags packed with warm clothes and other comfort items.

Since the City of Monessen reorganized its Recreation Board and hired a Recreation Director earlier this year, City Officials are beginning to see some positive growth at the Monessen Civic Center - a safe place for kids and parents to enjoy recreation, programming, and other opportunities.

Get into the holiday spirit by visiting the Mid-Mon Valley Model Railroad Club, which will be open to the public again this Holiday season.  The club is working to depict the major industries in the Mid-Mon Valley as they interacted with the railroads.

The outstanding South Hills Chorale will perform its Holiday Concert “Welcome Holiday Joy!” on Friday, December 17 and Saturday, December 18 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair.  Concert start time is 7:30 PM each night.
