HealthPLEX Imaging has added new digital mammography equipment at its Rostraver facility to offer area women the latest in diagnostic imaging technologies for these X-rays of the breast.

With digital mammography, the radiologist reviews electronic images of the breast using special high-resolution monitors. The radiologist can adjust the brightness, change contrast and zoom in for close ups of specific areas of interest. Being able to manipulate images is one of the main benefits of digital technology.

For the second consecutive year, Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) has achieved the Healthgrades® Outstanding Patient Experience Award™, ranking MVH among the top 10% of all hospitals evaluated.

How to Prevent Diabetes - Monday, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6 – 7 p.m., ECC. Do you want to live a healthier lifestyle and prevent diabetes? In this five-week education program, you will learn how to make better food choices, begin to lose weight, become more active, discuss changing behaviors to improve your habits and use food records to track your food choices.
