During the pre-game warm-ups at the Ringgold Rams-Knoch game, the Varsity and JV players were joined on the field by players from the Mon Valley Midget Football League (MVMFL). Players from the Union-Finley Bears and the Ringgold youth football organization took part in the pre-game stretches and warm-up drills under the scrutiny of the Rams coaching staff, including Head Coach Nick Milchovich.

These Midget Rams just couldn't stay serious.

Both the Ringgold youth teams and the Union-Finley Bears are feeder teams for the Ringgold Rams Middle School, JV and Varsity programs. Many players from the MVMFL have turned out to be outstanding high school players and credit their success in part to the training and experience they had in the MVMFL. That experience, coupled with participation in the Rams High School football program, has resulted in partial and full collegiate scholarships for many players.

The Rams football coaching staff understands the importance of this continuity and works with the youth league coaches looking for ways to acquaint the younger players to the Rams football program and the discipline required to be successful. They intend to keep that connection open with the Ringgold Youth Football Organization and the Union-Finley Bears.

The girls in the youth cheerleading programs that cheer on the Bear and Rams youth teams haven't been left out. They were on the sidelines prior to the game, working out with the Rams Varsity cheerleaders.

Ringgold won this game; Ringgold 20 - Knoch 12.
