At a special meeting of the Borough of Jefferson Hills Council on Thursday, June 16, Council unanimously appointed Ms. Tricia Levander as new borough manager.

Ms. Levander has served as borough manager in McKees Rocks, PA since 2010. A native of Rostraver Township, Ms. Levander holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and has extensive experience in Grant writing within the municipal government setting. She also has experience in the area of municipal finance, personnel management, community development and collective bargaining agreements.

Ms. Levander replaces Mr. Douglas Arndt, who retired in August 2015. The Borough's search for the new borough manager began in January and was conducted with the help of Mr. Michael Foreman of the PA Department of Community and Economic Development. “Selected candidates went through an intensive interview process, and Ms. Levander rose to the top and was a clear first choice,” said Council President Christopher King.

"We are pleased to have Ms. Levander join our team," said King. "She has a strong work ethic and takes a proactive approach to her job. We think she will fit in well with our already strong staff and raise the bar for everybody," he said.

Ms. Levander will begin her duties at the Borough on July 11, 2016 at a salary of $78,000 per year.
