The Mon Valley Academy for the Arts (MVAA) an arts and culture organization serving the Mon Valley, has announced the final Summer Concert Series of 2017 at Chess Park in Monongahela sponsored by EQT Foundation.

The final 2017 season Free Summer Concert series will be held on Sunday, September 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The final Sept 3rd concert production will feature all of the professional and student bands that have appeared at the previous concerts, as well as food vendors and other arts activities. 

The Final Concert Schedule includes –

  • Pittsburgh Big Band Legends
  • Kylie and the Toros Band
  • Andy Gregg Band
  • Molly Jade Band
  • Pittsburgh vocalist, Jessica Lee Jazz Band

The EQT MVAA/TCOP Concerts in the Park project is the latest presentation in an ongoing program of the MVAA’s Twin Coaches Orchestra Project (TCOP). The project goals include preserving the musical history of the Twin Coaches and the Mon Valley, while bringing the music back to life by sharing it with participants and audiences of all ages.
