Brentwood Borough High School’s Class of 2026 was lauded at Senior Awards Night on Thursday evening, May 21, 2026. A total of 31 of Brentwood’s 73 seniors have a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade-point average, an impressive 42.5 percent of the members of the Class of 2026!

The evening began with a dinner for the High Honors students (3.5 GPA) and their parents or guardians in the Brentwood Middle-High School cafeteria. The keynote speaker was David Schaap, a member of the Board of School Directors.
Attendees moved into the auditorium for the awards, with Brentwood HS Principal Dr. Jason Olexa serving as emcee and Middle-High School Assistant Principal Joe Michalski assisting.
Representative Jessica Benham, who serves Pennsylvania’s 36th House District, began the awards ceremony by presenting the seniors with a certificate recognizing their upcoming graduation, which is June 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Brentwood Stadium.
Five awards or scholarships were presented to Brentwood seniors for the first time:
- GBU District 684 Jackie Alaimo Memorial Grant;
- Alaimo-Zychowski Scholarship;
- Bob Williams Rotary Memorial Scholarship;
- Brentwood High School Class of 1975 Scholarship;
- Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies
To conclude the awards ceremony, seniors with a cumulative GPA between 3.0-3.49 were presented with a Gold cord to wear at Commencement and seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher received a Blue and Gold cord. Congratulations to all the scholarship and award recipients and thank you to all the scholarship and award sponsors!
