Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) announced $750,000 in state funding had been awarded to municipalities in the 50th District. The money comes from the statewide Local Share Account (LSA), which is supported by gaming revenues
“I support bringing state dollars back to our communities through programs like the LSA,” said Cook. “These grants help improve infrastructure, support tourism assets and promote long-term community development.”
The following LSA Grants were awarded:
- Centerville Borough - $200,00 to repair New Hill Road which was washed out during a flood in 2024.
- Greene County - $265,000 to repair the roof of the arena barn at the Greene County Fairgrounds and the roller rink building at Mon View Park.
- Greensboro Monongahela Township Joint Sewer Authority - $85,000 to upgrade components of the sewer system in Greensboro Borough.
- West Brownsville Borough - $200,000 to fix a storm sewer to address flooding and drainage issues.
