United Way of Washington County is proud to announce the launch of its 2nd Annual ‘Holiday Helping Hands’ Program, taking place from November 12 through December 4, 2025.

Helping Hands

Holiday Helping Hands is a community-wide collection drive aimed at supporting senior citizens and elderly residents who may be experiencing loneliness or financial hardship during the holiday season. Through this program, United Way partners with local senior organizations to identify and meet the needs of older adults.

Donations of new, useful, and comforting items are encouraged. Suggested items include word search books, 500-piece puzzles, winter or holiday-themed dish towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, slip-proof socks, and other thoughtful gifts.

A complete list of requested items is available at: www.unitedwaywashco.org/holiday-helping-hands.

Donations can be dropped off at the United Way of Washington County administrative office, located at 70 East Beau Street, Suite 400, Washington, PA, Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

In addition to item donations, monetary contributions are also welcomed to help purchase needed supplies. Checks may be mailed to:
