The Belle Vernon Public Library will celebrate Election Day on Nov. 4 with a ‘Books & Bakes’ Sale. The sale will start at 7:00AM when the polls open with a selection of muffins, brownies and cookies. That day all books and DVDs in the sale room will be half price and Sarris chocolate will have special one day value pricing.

"We started this last year as a way to celebrate Election Day and a chance for our neighbors to stop in even if they're not regular patrons and see what we have to offer," noted Elina Filander, the library director. "Especially things like audio books that you can listen to on your phone or streaming video might be being overlooked."
The bake sale will continue until items are sold out, while the book and candy sales will continue until the library closes at 6:00PM. The library is located at 505 Speer St in North Belle Vernon. For more info call 724-929-6642.
