The Washington County Board of Commissioners has appointed Jeffrey Mills, a resident of Peters Township and the Chairmen of the Peters Township Planning Commission, to a four-year term on the Board of Directors of the Washington County Redevelopment Authority.
Mr. Mills, a practicing attorney with the law firm Cozen O’Connor, focuses on real estate, commercial and corporate finance, and public-private development. He has extensive experience with tax-exempt and taxable bond financing, economic development incentives, industrial site reuse, land use planning, and public infrastructure projects.
In addition to his legal expertise, Jeffrey Mills is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a nationally recognized member of the Red Book Bond Counsel, a distinction reserved for legal professionals with expertise in municipal securities and tax-exempt bond law.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business, Mills brings a unique blend of legal, financial, and strategic expertise to the Redevelopment Authority- at a pivotal moment when Washington County is spearheading transformative projects across the region.

The Washington County Redevelopment Authority plays a vital role in supporting community revitalization, blight removal, industrial development, and affordable housing efforts across the county. Mills’ term will run through July 2029.
